Farm Funders recently announced the opening of nominations for the 2024 Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award, which aims to recognize innovative and transformational efforts to revitalize Northeast rural communities. Nominations are due by January 31, 2024. 

The Farm Credit Northeast AgEnhancement Program, a joint effort of Farm Funders and CoBank, recently provided $80,000 in grant funding to 18 organizations to assist their efforts to support young and beginning farmer initiatives, encourage youth leadership development, promote diversity equity and inclusion, and advance northeast agriculture, forestry and commercial fishing. Submissions for the next round of grant funding are due by December 1.

The Farm Funders Cares Community Fund announced today it will donate $100,000 to organizations assisting producers recovering from July’s heavy rains and devastating flooding. Recipients of these funds include the Vermont Community Foundation and the Massachusetts Farm Resiliency Fund.
